Our 3rd Story Hour featured guest speaker, Pam Martin, from the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. She introduced us to local critters that help build a better world, right here in Kansas!
Thirty-three kids and eight adults enjoyed learning about bees and their hexagonal hives, crawfish and their chimneys, beavers and their soft coats and strong, sharp teeth, prairie dogs and their towns… plus all the animals that benefit from the ways these critters shape the world!
The kids were eager to ask & answer questions and study the exhibits she brought.
They especially enjoyed getting to meet Sweet Pea and Indy… two active prairie dogs who LOVE their food treats!
Thanks to Pam and KWEC for visiting Macksville and sharing more ways to BUILD a Better World! 🙂
