Our fourth story hour focussed on stars and space. Byoung Lee was our guest speaker. He shared with the children his knowledge & fascination of space. A few things we learned about were: black holes, the size & temperature of our sun, and even why the sky is blue in the morning & red at sunset. He also urged the kids to keep READING and LEARNING! Then, Mrs. Loomis shared a special story with the kids– Alligator Baby, given in memory of Brynlin Sanders. For our craft, kids decorated rockets and created constellations out of their own names, encouraging them to
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
52 kids attended story hour, and now we have 72 kids signed up– WOW! We have two more story hours- July 2nd & 9th. Our swim party will be at 8:00pm on July 9th– keep reading to meet your goals!!!!
